I can't think of a barbecue place that I would rather skip than Dickey's. The standard is just solo. I mean so low. But that too.
Famous Dave's is better, despite being awful too, and I actually think Famous Dave's is one of the worst meals that you can get at any given time. I've had some of the best BBQ in the country so I'm spoiled, and you can find some of that up here in Detroit and in places like Buffalo and Chicago and Milwaukee - with a very specific Regional style BBQ - and there's even one right down the road in Kalamazoo that's probably one of the best in the whole country.
So why anyone would lower themselves to this, no idea - I would guess you would have to not really know what BBQ is or what it supposed to be in order for you to eat this here but nevertheless if you want to try pretty standard basic cafeteria style BBQ, come and give it a try and maybe you'll like it cuz maybe you have really bad taste I don't know. -

I did takeout, which was ready by the time I got there. I got the two meat plate with ribs l, pulled pork, onion tanglers, potato casserole, green beans, and the caesar salad (extra sides were my wife's). The meat tasted decent but was not smoked long enough to be great, plus it was pretty greasy and fairly fatty. The sides were all fairly meh. Really, I think I might have enjoyed the salad the most, which is not great for a barbecue joint...

I had a pork sandwich and a turkey sandwich with two small sides. The sides were beans and potato salad.
The sandwiches had way too much bread and the sides way too small.
This came out to $20 with no drinks or extras on the sandwiches that cost extra.
The meats tasted good and along with the sides. The boys working the counter were fast and friendly.
The cost just ruins it because if I added a drink and some toppings, each meal would be about $14. That would be ok for a sit down place or if you got lots of food. -

Terrible service. Unfriendly staff with no personality. The food is good but for their high prices you expect decent service and they all seem like they hate their jobs. You can easily get Famous Dave's to-go for about the same price and get a smile and friendly staff.

I was surprised a sandwich, two sides, and a drink would cost $13.14. I would expect to pay that much if I was a sitdown restaurant with a server.
This is almost twice as much as I spend for lunch anywhere else.
